A perpetual transplant, Marylander Todd Gillman has been following his wanderlust since graduating high school in 1991. Since then, Todd has established domicile in West Virginia (twice), North Carolina, Idaho, Colorado (3 times!), Wyoming, & now, finally, Washington.  Along the way, he picked up a couple nasty habits: kayaking, snowboarding, kayaking, cycling, beer & kayaking.  Fortunately, he also picked up a B.S. degree from Colorado State University & followed a career path that has landed him at New Belgium Brewing, a leader in both the craft brewing revolution and in the sustainability movement. Todd lives in Seattle with Corey-dog, his tireless 14 year-old Chesapeake Bay retriever. When he’s not exploring neighborhood ale houses from Georgetown to Olympia for work, he & Corey-dog can be found exploring the rivers, mountains & rainforests of the Pacific Northwest & British Columbia.  Todd is an accomplished expedition paddler, having claimed first descents in Arizona, British Columbia, Colorado, Peru, Washington & Wyoming. His photo work has been printed in many national & international publications, but is most often seen accompanying his written work in the online magazinze TheRangeLife.com.
