KOKATAT
www.kokatat.com

The company now known as Kokatat was started in 1971 by a college student named Steve O’Meara with an eye towards making innovative outdoor gear. With Steve still at the helm, our company continues to dedicate itself to his original intent, offering the industry’s most extensive line of watersports wear and enjoying a deserved reputation for product quality and commitment to watersports. We’re located in the small northern California coastal town of Arcata, about 300 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Our very name, Kokatat, means “into the water” in one of the languages of the Native American people living along the local Klamath River.

Ultimate Paddle Performance is Werner Paddles mission. . . and promise to you.

We believe Advanced Designs and a Great Fit are the key ingredients to achieving Ultimate Paddle Performance. . . therefore, to fulfill our promise we focus enormous amounts of energy to developing a complete selection of advanced paddle designs.

Advanced Designs means much more than great blade designs and light weight construction. It includes maintaining bomber durability, shaping comfortable grips and providing amazing features like our newly patented Adjustable Ferrule System, (US patent 6881111). It also means ensuring all these features work together as a whole to create a well balanced paddle.

Great Fit is achieved when paddle features are chosen specifically to fit you and your paddling style. By offering a complete selection of blade sizes and styles, as well as several shaft options, we give every kayaker the opportunity to select and combine features for a custom paddle fit.

Ultimate Paddle Performance may sound like something marketed to “pros”, but the fact of the matter is everyone, regardless of their level of experience, can benefit from a well designed paddle that fits properly. Ultimately it means you enjoy greater comfort, reduced fatigue and enhanced performance.

OUTDOOR RESEARCH www.outdoorresearch.com

In the beginning, it was our passion for human powered adventure that inspired the birth of Outdoor Research, an outdoor gear company based in Seattle, Washington. And 27 years later, this passion remains as strong as ever. But our goals have expanded to embrace a greater mission: our customers’ experiences of human powered adventure. Over the years, we’ve learned it’s not simply about what we think. It’s about listening to our customers and building their ideas into our products.

Our focus is on creating functional solutions for human powered adventure and how we do it is the fun part! Through our Lab Rat program, any user of OR gear can report back to us on how our product worked during their adventures. Lab Rat feedback is sent directly to our product development team and has affected individual products as well as entire product lines, from hats and gloves to bivy sacks and apparel.

Truly useful gear is the result of a process that begins by paying careful attention to the needs of outdoor adventurers. By listening to these people, we achieve a clear purpose for the functionality of each product. From this, we deliver what is the hallmark of OR products: functional gear that works and lasts. As a result
of placing quality and function first we offer the finest guarantee in the industry – OR’s Infinite Guarantee®.

Our history spans for more than 25 years of getting folks out there to do what they love. Some of you have been with us since the beginning. And we thank you. Some of you are new to the party. Welcome.

We’re a bunch of active, outdoor enthusiasts who play hard and work hard so you can play hard. You’ve got trails to blaze, rivers to tame, and mountains to attack. We want to make sure you and your gear get there safe and sound. We like to call our products “destination hardware.” Because that’s what we’re about, getting you to your destination.

We’ve been making “bomber quality” racks for over 25 years. It’s more functional and durable than anything else on the market. We hold incredibly high standards for our products. After all, we use them all the time. And there’s no way we’re going to use anything except the best.

If there’s ever anything wrong with your rack, tell us. We’ll try to make it right. If you have any suggestions on how we can make things better, don’t be afraid to share. We’re here because we want to make things easier for you. It’s a fun job that we take very seriously.

NORTH WATER www.northwater.com

Simply put, WE DEVELOP PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS FOR AQUATIC ENDEAVORS.

What ever your choice of paddle, chances are we build a product that will help you enjoy it.

We are located in Vancouver British Columbia on the door step of some of the best paddling in the world. We are fortunate to have everything from calm bays to some of the most rugged isolated coast line in the world. Rivers that transport you back to the time of early explorers, to raging torrents of every description. In this playground we have spent most of our lives paddling, exploring and often been shown that less can in fact be more. It is this philosophy we bring into the design of the products we offer.

Tucked up here in the North West corner of North America we have to some extent developed in the early days, in isolation. As a result we have brought some unique and innovative ideas to the market. Today we work with some of the best paddlers in the world to design and field test our products. Before they get to your paddle shop they will have been on expeditions, back and forth to the drawing board countless times. As a result we are proud of the products we build. We offer you not only our experience in building them but the experience of people that rely on them.

Mountain Safety Research® started nearly 40 years ago, calling attention to the inadequate equipment standards of the day. Refusing to accept ‘good enough’ as a design philosophy, we created a new standard of ‘best possible’ that resulted in the creation of ground-breaking technologies with unprecedented reliability and function in absolutely essential equipment for outdoor travel. From climbers, to boaters and weekend campers, MSR equipment became the new gold standard. Our commitment stands unchanged today and MSR® remains an industry leader in the development and production of the most reliable and innovative high-performance gear on the market. From hyper-efficient stoves, and water filters to cutting edge tents, revolutionary snowshoes and beyond – we continue to provide even the most demanding backcountry users a confidence-inspiring tool kit for the task at hand.

SNAP DRAGON DESIGN is proud to be more than a designer and manufacturer of kayak accessories. We are avid participants in the worldwide sport of kayaking. Our distinctive designs arise from personal experience as well as through feedback from our customers. We seek to improve performance and comfort with the latest construction features and materials.

We make our products in our humble shop just outside of Seattle Washington. From patterning, cutting, sewing and taping we are a hands on company. Rich Wilson started the company in the early 1980’s in his basement, at a time when there was a lack of kayaking accessories to satisfy his own kayaking needs. Mr. Wilson still spends half his day at the sewing machine.
